This is one of the earliest points in the catalogue where songwriting is named as the weapon rather than as the consolation, and the habit recurs long afterwards in far more controlled forms.

Naming rhyme as the instrument makes the song's cruelty deliberate rather than incidental. Retaliation is the theme, and the device shows the weapon being loaded.
