“Come on, come on, little taste of heaven”
Heaven shrinks to a little taste, the brush of bliss the speaker reaches for in a longed-for closeness.

“Untouchable like a distant diamond sky”
The diamond image is celestial rather than worn, a distant sky figured as gemstone. The line collapses reach and refusal: what is brightest is also furthest, the addressee figured as something the speaker can name but not hold. The gift-as-evidence register that runs through the rest of the motif doesn't apply here; the diamond instead carries unreachability. This is the catalogue's earliest sketch of the diamond-as-sky figure that resurfaces in The Lucky One.
